A balmy day, I am tidying up, but not too much – the wildlife needs places to hide in the coming winter. My wooden edging to the flower beds needs replacing, but I am not throwing it away. Hidden under a hedge it’s a wee heaven for hibernating animals and also a home for various beasties, drilling into the old wood. I love this time of year. You can look back on what you have created and changed this season, enjoy the low rays of the sun and know that all around you there are birds and frogs, toads and centipedes all in a circle of life, creating with you that wee garden universe.
