Happy New Year!!!

Well, the garden might be asleep – and you might feel like hibernating too, but is there anything better than to sit in a cosy sitting room poring over seed catalogues?

Just imagine all those wonderful vegetables you could grow…

Would you like to be inspired to grow vegetables? How about reading the well-written, funny and excellent book – ‘Animal, Vegetable, Miracle’ by Barbara Kingsolver. It is US based, but also relevant for gardeners in the UK, I think.

And then there are plenty of catalogues that sell herbaceous perennials, shrubs and trees that can send us dreaming too. Yes, we might still be waiting for the first snowdrops, but our garden can grow in our minds already.
